Does theology really matter? Does it matter what you think about God and evil? Can we say that one system of thinking about God is better than another? I believe we can, and must! What you believe about God, especially God and evil, matters, it matters a lot, but you won’t really feel the importance, the weight, of what you believe, or don’t believe, until you face hard, dark, frowning providence. My deepest prayer at this time in my life is Psalm 119:71. Let’s not allow these hard providences to cause us to question God’s goodness or God’s wisdom or God’s planning. Instead of allowing unsolicited suffering to cause us to call into question God’s goodness or wisdom or power, let’s allow God’s hard providences to press us closer to His robe where we gather together like little children clinging to their father in the midst of a thunderstorm hugging His legs knowing that as long as we are near Him we will be safe! I am hoping that this will be another avenue for our members and friends to search and read on relevant subjects. For the month of February we will be focusing on Biblical evangelism and missions. The month will conclude with our annual WTS. Here is a link to some really good articles http://www.the-highway.com/c_evangelism.html Read an article and then post a response.
